Check out the Thanksgiving Potluck at Four Quarter Bar. This is a potluck style gathering, so bring your leftovers, favorite dish, or Grandma's Pecan Pie to share. Four Quarter Bar will be cooking their famous smoked brisket to put on the table!! FREE for all to attend. They will be open from 6 pm to 2 am. So maybe put on those comfy pants and save room for some tasty libations!
Now that you are totally full of yummy food without all the drama, you can go home and take a nap and plan the rest of your weekend, because Thanksgiving is a multi-day event, right?
Burn off those Thanksgiving day calories by cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks as they play Missouri at War Memorial Stadium. Round out the evening at The Joint Comedy Theater & Coffeehouse with the opening night of the Main Thing's "A Fertle Holiday." This original two-act comedy tells the story of the Fertle Family's trouble-ridden reunion in the tiny town of Dumpster, Arkansas, as they attempt to entertain their wealthy relatives from San Diego. That is sure to be some family drama-comedy! And no, there is not a real Dumpster, Arkansas, I looked. :)
Now you are ready for one of Argenta's most magical events of the year, Northern Lights Festival. On Saturday from 5:30 - 9:30 and the grand opening of the beautiful Argenta Plaza. This FREE event includes tree lighting, photos with Santa, music, shopping, fireworks, and more. Enjoy this merry and bright event for the whole family!
Sunday is not the day of rest in Argenta, its time to get your parade vibe on! Come out at 2:00 pm for the NLR Sertoma Christmas Parade on Main Street. The "Candy Cane and Gingerbread" themed parade will have a Santa and tons of fun things for the family.
