To continue the restoration and growth of the Argenta community, the Argenta Downtown Council presents the conceptual proposal for the William F. Laman Argenta Branch Public Library outdoor space renovation. Together with Hannah Ratzlaff, exterior design consultant for Main Street Arkansas and Greg Nabholz, a commissioner with the Argenta Central Business Improvement District, a design was developed to include new sidewalks, landscaping, creative public seating and fun paved play areas. The library's outdoor renovation would continue to bring fun, family-friendly entertainment to the Argenta area and add the already great walkability of our neighborhood. "We are especially excited about the interactive nature of these plans and truly appreciate the Argenta Art District's help in connecting us with community and downtown improvements," said Crystal Gates, the executive director for the Laman Library. Greg Nabholz adds, "The Laman Library outdoor space renovation project is essential to the overall downtown development because it improves underutilized space and transforms it into another vibrant public space in Argenta. The outdoor area provides for additional parking and space utilization and gives the Laman Library the flexibility to have additional programming and revenue-generating opportunities." The ADC is excited to share the conceptual plans with you. We will keep you updated as to the progress of the project.
